Unless you have over 50 pounds to lose you probably would do better moving to the main weightloss phase of Atkins rather than hanging around on induction.
Although I feel much better since I started, and I think I have lost some inches (not so sure though, but my jeans feel looser), I don't have the amazing results I had when I first did it a year ago.
if you are losing inches then you are losing fat

I want to lose 10-15 kilos and I am 1.71.
How much weight did you lose on the first 14 days?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: I'm bored with the food!

Care to share your recipe for Roast Children? Sounds induction friendly to me. I run a daycare out of my home and sometimes...well, you can imagine LOL. J/K I love my little Tater Tots I know how you feel about being bored. I am on day 20 of induction, I've only lost 9 pounds and I want to eat a huge salad with all the veggies, croutons, a Turkey BLT, a whole key lime pie and about 6 strawberry daquiris with whipped cream on top. But, I can't. I am staying strong becasue I know the payoff will come and I've already had the sweet, sweet taste of victory over those 9 pounds. It's better than key lime pie. Does anyone know a high fiber veggie aside from broccoli? I am bored with brockleeee. I want a piece of toast so bad right now but typing means I am not toasting. Sorry if I sound a bit schizo. I am PMSing. I know these cravings will pass as soon as I'm done with TOM.

Too many eggs and lack of exercise

        Thanks for the advice Elizellen
I didn't weigh myself when I started this time, so I cannot tell how much weight I've lost on the induction. Now, the trousers I can wear are the ones I usually wear when I am about 70 kilos. Last year when I did the induction I lost 6 kilos in 14 days.
I wonder whether I eat too many eggs (between 6 and 8 per day) and whether not working out regularly hinder my weight loss (I cycle or walk wherever I go though).

            LOL Ellen!

            Mrs Tessa--
Pick anything on the induction list! Be bold and daring. Make a stir-fry with bamboo shoots. I think those things are almost COMPLETELY fiber. My favorite veggies are baby mixed greens, pumpkin, spaghetti squash, jicama, cauliflower, green beans, jalapenos, and bell peppers. If you're sick of broccoli, don't eat it! Boredom is one of the precursors to cheating for many.

So don't get bored! Get adventurous.

Pick up that wierd looking vegetable with the unpronounceable name and buy it.

There are great recipes on Linda's site for veggies...I always go there and check out all of her recipes when I'm feeling bold and daring and want to make something new.

Thanks, Julie! Somebody said that Jicama makes great french fries. I think I will try that. I just got around to trying Mock danish and it is really really tasty! I think it's more like french toast though.

6 to 8 eggs a day aren't that bad, I don't think it is that.
Really probably is the working out part.
Also it seems that the second time around you tend to not lose as fast.

I have not been able to find jicama at our grocery store. I have looked at 2 now and not found it. Any suggestions? I have heard that it tastes like raw potatoes and I LOVE raw potatoes.

Re: I'm bored with the food!

You have GOT to find Linda's low-carb recipes. I promise, if you will follow her recipes, looking for the asterik (induction friendly recipes) you will NOT get bored. My family and I have been on Induction since the beginning of the month, and every night we use one of her recipes. http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html We're doing great so far.
                    Good luck,
                    Stephanie
