Freaking out over too many carbs!!

  • Freaking out over too many carbs!!

    I need some reassurance...
    I've just completed my fitday for today and for the first time in 4 weeks I've gone over my 20g of carbs...I had 26g.
    All my foods were legal...it's just that I went out and bought the pure pumpkin in a can and had 1/2 cup of it with supper and somehow I screwed up in my calculations and went over...
    I want to move to OWL when I've gotten rid of 20pds but as of now I'm only 14 pds down.
    What should I do?
    Just go back to 20g tomorrow or move on to OWL?
    I have to admit moving on to OWL is a bit scary...I also started exercising everyday and I find I'm hungrier.
    Please help!
    One day at at time...today I will do what I need to do to reach my goal.

    *I* wouldn't freak out over that at all. In my opinion, people don't get fat from eating vegetables.

    But, since you are venturing into the higher carb amounts with veggies, why don't you just call TODAY rung 1 of OWL. It's just an additional serving of veggies. I've been on induction again for about a week and I am absolutely missing my veggies, that's for sure. Rest assured I won't be doing this very long. LOL

      Did you subtract the fiber from the 26?

            It's okay!

            Don't be afraid of OWL. ESPECIALLY of veggies on OWL. They ARE your friend, believe it or not.

              I agree with Joy, Just count this as day one on OWL! If you do want to stay in induction then just forget about it and keep to your 20 carbs tomorrow. Don't sweat it!

                I feel much better now...I just kinda freaked out when i saw that...a little obsessed or what? LOL
                I've decided to go back to 20g of carbs tomorrow and will stick with my 20lbs gone before OWL.

                  Yes, first off...you're in extended induction right? You can give yourself some liberties. OWL is really just around the corner and if you were to mess up anywhere with extra carbs, veggies is the place to do it! Keep it up...I am sure you won't see any ill effects.

                    Don't fret the extra few carbs from veggies. I'd go with Higgies and Joy... you could either just start in OWL (you can stay on the veggie rung for as long as you like, no problem), or you could drop back to under 20g/day.
                    It's hard to put on weight eating non-starchy veggies.
