  • How is everyone progressing & feeling?

Hey everyone, I just finished my 3rd week and lost right at 3 pounds. So far Ive lost like this first week: 10#, week2: 1pound, week3: 3#.
I feel pretty good, but a little sluggish. I dont blame atkins. I blame early mornings - late nights doing chores and watching news television. THe weekend cant come soon enough.

I was just wondering how everyone else is doing.

Congrats everyone. I'm in week 8 I've went from 240-241ish to 217 in 8 weeks. I'm starting to notice a BIG change in the way my clothes fit. I've lost 2 pant sizes. I'm feeling wonderful but still trying to kick my pretzel cravings.

Well done all of you. I'm on day 8, but I'm not weighing myself till the end of induction, so not sure how I'm doing. But I feel so much healthier already. Just thinking about it, I had no joint pain last night. Thats been keeping me awake for months now. Wow, thats pretty amazing! Thanks for asking the question, making me check how I feel!

          Hello everyone!!

I am at the end of my 3 week. I have only lost 7 lbs, and it seems that I have hit a stall, which I was reassured that around this time it is perfectly normal. It is discouraging, but at the same time I know that I am doing this right and the stall will not last forever. I am looking forward to the lbs to start dropping again, I just have to keep patient. I however feel wonderful and am still reering to go!!

          Congrats to everyones loss!!!

Re: How is everyone progressing & feeling?

I have been on the Atkins Induction since February 26th (8 weeks) and have lost a total of 40lbs. I started at 310, am currently 270 and my goal is 160lbs. I am a 46 year old female and am 5'8" tall. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this diet is. It's easy to follow and even easier not to fall off at least for me right now. After years of struggling with weight I feel like I've finally found the way to lose weight without giving up everything I love. The WOE has also given me the energy and strength to get physical and like activity. This board has been a godsend along with the plan.

Well, I can't say how good/bad I've done as I'm on day 4 of induction. I feel good, and I promised myself I wouldn't weigh until one week, which is this coming Monday morning. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some good results.

I can't wait to go down a few pant sizes. Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well so far. You know you are true to the atkins life style when you have dreams where they offer you a "Tom Collins" or a huge pizza and you deny it in you sleep too. lol !! Omg I told my DH that we could live it up in our sleep but instead we dream about steak and eggs.

Im glad you guys are doing well, I am off to find a semi-permant rinse to put on my hair. I colored it and it turned out too blonde. Im naturally a alburn/light brown. I should just left it alone. UGhh DH be home next weekend so I have to fix my goof up. It shouldnt be too hard since its a light color just being bumped up a notch.

                Later!!

Re: How is everyone progressing & feeling?

Congrats to all you!! Good job everyone. Today marks week 3 for me. I'm down 15 lbs myself. Only 35 lbs to go!! Ha!! I lost 10 the first week, 4 last week and 1 this week. Yesterday was a true test as I went into Cold Stone Creamery with my wife, and she ordered an ice cream, and I didn't get anything. I'm proud of my willpower. However last sunday at the Red Wings game, I shoveled down chips-salsa, chicken fingers, and 3 beers. I went up 3 lbs monday and today I am back to where I was sunday morning before I left. I learned my lesson in cheating!!

Much continued success to all of you!!

Im on my 3rd week. The scale hasnt moved at all this week <pout> but it is my TOM..so im not discouraged. What I have noticed....is i hardly have any hunger!! Whereas before i might eat a 2-3 egg omelet AND bacon...now i can barely eat 1 egg for bf.
By the time dinner rolls around..i eat about 1/2 of my plate. All this water is really keeping me quite full too. I hope Im getting enough calories. I never would have imagined i could be on a "diet" and not be obsessed with food. I love Dr Atkins!!

Hang in there.. I can see the weightloss in your face.. I freaked out on Monday when I came home from a weekend away doing everything perfect and I was up 6lbs... Thanks to Tom... But you know what I told myself.. I was still under..and if I only lose 2lbs a week on average by Christmas I am going to be a lot smaller.. I feel so much better.. My blood sugar isn't up and down.. Just remember the positives when that stupid scale doesn't move...

Not sure if any of you are using fitday.com, but really recommend to keep track of calories and also percentages of protein, carbs and fat taken.... its really helping me keep on track.

Thats great, your doing really well.

Well Im at week 4 with 7 down. But to be fair I have cheated here and there and not been really good. I also have not weighed myself in over a week I was getting really bad at it. Im just going by my clothes and they are getting baggy and I feel good. So all in all Im doing pretty good and pleased with the results. Now if i could just be better Im sure Id lose more then I am. I find it hard with so much stress going on.

I'm doing okay. Broke the stall. Really trying to concentrate on serving sizes and eating when I'm hungry, not just eating because I want to.

I am less than 20 pounds away from my high school weight. And I say high school because even in college I was heavier.
