    !!!!!!!!!

    I started out at 184.5 and went down to 172.5 within 10 days. Today is day 16 and i'm STILL at 172.5

    I saw a couple post about sugar free products. Ive been eating sugar free jello as a snack (no calories, no carbs) and also drink Diet coke, and crystal light throughout the day (on top of my water) Im not a big water person, so i usually use those crystal light packets in my water bottles.

    Are there any problems with these things im doing? Could they maybe be the reason of stall? (note, i was on this diet before, and diet pop never seemed to affect me) Of course, things could be different now since that was 3 years ago.

    I also had portabella mushrooms fried in some butter, salt and pepper. Afterwards, it just seemed like such a "fat" thing to do, but i read it was ok?

    Also, is it possible im not getting enough calories??

    typically i'll eat a salad or 2 throughout the day. Asparagus. String cheese. Salami. Steak. Any of those things.

    ALL your help would be SOOOOOOO great. (my mini goal is to get to 150. My long term goal is 130) I heard its easier to reach a goal if u go for a smaller target first, and then once u hit that target, to set another goal

    Also, i have no health problems. I'm 20 years old, and a mother of 2. Husband and i just seperated, so im sure the stress doesn't help.

    Aspartame aspartame! its naughty and it stalls you!!

    That means no diet coke and no jello!

    you are drinking the required amount of water arent you? i mean just water not with things added to it

    umm... how many calories are you eating a day? do you track them? fitday.com is a good way to do that!

      I agree with Emma. Why don't you cut out the sf jello and diet coke for a few days and see if the scales move? I have sf jello as a stand by in my cupboard, only actually have once a week at most.

        This time around I haven't eaten the jello at all ...Last time I ate it like crazy.. Try cutting back or not have diet soda for a day and see if that helps...

          thankyou very much you guys! I'll give that a try. Now that i think about it, i just bought the diet coke last week, and before i started drinking it, my weight loss was at least 2 pounds every day. I'm guessing he's the culprit =)

          Aslo, how much asparagus are u allowed in a day? I have fresh aparagus and im in love with it. I just wasnt sure how much was TOO much? And is it okay to cook it in butter?

          Thank you guys so much. I wouldn't be able to do this diet without everyones help!

            & i must say sandy, u look like u've lost way more than 16 pounds! I cant tell any difference in the mirror when i look, but hopefully others can. U look great!!

              Yes... try cutting out those "iffy" things.
              Also, I'd mention that it's very common for people to have a pause (it isn't a stall) in weight loss after the first ten/fourteen days or so. The body sort of needs to take stock of the situation and realise that you're serious. It often picks up again on it's own.

                As you have posted in the 'extended induction' forum i assume you are still on induction, so you can have up to one 'cup' of asparagus a day. Soliwit posted a thread in the 14-day induciotn forum where she has listed the weight of all the induciton veggies per cup and parts of a cup, which shows one cup of asparagus as weighing 134 grams (4.7 oz).

                To have more you need to move to the first rung of OWL where you can 'legally' add 5 net carbs more which would be almost 2 cups worth!!

                It is fine to cook anything in butter on Atkins!! you can also use oils in cooking if you like.

                        Thank you.. I also wanted to say..Don't give up and tweak your food.. I went through over a week stall and the scale is finally moving again...
