Hi all. Today is the end of my two weeks of induction, however, I think I am going to continue on the induction. If I remember correctly, I can do it for up to a month. I find Atkins VERY difficult to do. I have tried Atkins many, many times over the years and never lasted more than a week. The fact that I actually made it to this point, and am going to continue in induction is such a huge thing for me! I can't even tell you how big it is.
The thing is though, I did what I had to do in order to stay on the plan....and that was to eat the Atkins bars every day. I lost between 4 ounces to a pound every day, for a total of 9 pounds lost to date even with doing the Atkins bars. So even though I am going to try and do the induction again to continue losing at this pace, I'm wondering if anyone adds the low carb bread into their induction. I've never done it before. A friend of mine gave me some Atkins cookbooks and all of them talk about using low carb tortillas or low carb bread during phase 1. So I got some Healthy Life brand wheat bread today that has 5 net carbs per slice.
Has anyone had any luck with this? Any advice at all? I do plan on having at least one Atkins bar a day, so that I'm losing slowly, steadily...but I don't want to rock the boat by doing an Atkins bar AND the low carb bread if there is a problem with the bread.
Thanks!
