    Staying on induction when sedentary?

I posted elsewhere about an upcoming surgery followed by a pre-Hawaii 6 weeks when I'd hoped to lose weight still. Think it'd be ok to stay on induction during this time to continue weight loss, as I will be unable to exercise?

    Thanks!

Yes. Though exercise is considered mandatory, there are many (probably most, overall) people who do not exercise during the first few months of this woe. They still lose weight.

I had surgery in my third week and I still lost, though I couldn't exercise for a week. Your sedentary period is longer, but no biggie.

Just get back to a walking program or light weight lifting when you can.
    Start date: 7/29/2007

    Scale: SW:235 CW:193
    GW:150

Tape Measure: I've lost 42.5 inches as of 3/15/2008

    Mini goals:
    215 - met 9/10/07
    205 - met 10/17/07
    195 - met 2/20/08
    180

    I survived a two-month stall!

It would be better to stay on plan and not loose then go off plan and gain. Good luck to you

Yes... better to stay on plan and do whatever exercise you can do, when you can do it (even if it's only twiddling your toes!! ). Best wishes for a speedy post surgery recovery!
