Re: Anyone else go thru this?

    Nice decision snap.
Take OWL in baby steps... it might seem a little complicated at first, but you very soon get into the swing of it. The OWL forum here is very supportive and you'll get great advice there, if you have queries.
    Before and after:

    PLEDGING FLIGHTS
Completed: 1st set of buildings and mountains (Everest,M.Blanc & Kilimanjaro, twice); Tower Masts & Chimneys; More virtual buildings; Challenger's Choice x 2 (volcanos and mountains on Mars). Currently climbing: Mount Snowdon again: 416/475

Start 10 Jan 2005. Maintenance since Aug. 2005.

Snap, also read the stickies here on the OWL forum. That will help a bunch. It really helps to understand how to do it. It really isn't that difficult, just take it in easy steps, like Sally said. I took 2-3 weeks on most rungs, just figuring out how I reacted to certain foods. Any questions, just ask. We are here to help.

Re: Anyone else go thru this?

My uncle has now lost over 150 pounds on Atkins. If he feels like cheating or is craving something sweet he eats cupcakes! Not your normal cupcakes. He buys them on Netrition.com. I think they are about 2-3 net carbs each but they do the job and they do not make him stall and taste Great! They have a lot of good stuff on that website. Using these alternative foods have really keeped him from cheating. I know alot of people on here don't recommend using these subs, but he thinks that it is better to eat a cupcake with 2-3 carbs then a real cupcake with god know how many carbs and sugars.

I just started induction 4 days ago...he inspired me to lose weight.

        Sixth Goal-140
        Goal Reached-135

          But not induction-legal I bet!!
Once you have moved up the OWL ladder and discovered which foods your body can handle without blood sugar spikes or weight gain then would be the time to try out processed foods containing ingredients 'legal' for the rung of OWL you are on. So if they contain grains they would be suitable for the last OWL rung.
Until then you could explore recipes to make 'legal' dishes that use the ingtredients allowed for your stage of Atkins, which in induction (extended or otherwise) do not include these 'low carb' items.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

yeah it sounds like your ready to move to owl .. also maybe you should evaluate what you are eatting right now .. is it possible that you are eatting something now that is causing sugar cravings?

            Good luck
