    I'm actually into my 19th day so I'm past normal induction. But I have not been feeling andy dprivation and I've got a long way to go, so I'm going to do a modified induction. i plan on staying around 20 carbs but occasionally adding in some of the foods from the higher rungs one at a time, in the same order time frame that I would if I was on OWL. Then when I have about 50 left to lose I will do OWL wholeheartedly. thats my plan!

    You have gone 5 days pass the 2 week induction period. Do you know how weight you've loss within the last five days. Just wanted to get some idea of expectations. I know that it varies and exercise plays a role. I haven't seen too many post to answer that question.

      Ginny - why not try the 'modified OWL' idea I mentioned on another of your threads?
      Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
      Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

        I posted on the induction board that I really don't have any idea. It turns out my scalewas faulty so I am not sure how much I rally weighed when Istarted or how much I lost. I can tell you though that I weighed in at the jazzercise center on my first day (last Wednesday) and by yesterday had lost over 5 pounds just by adding the exercise to the diet.

        Elizellen, thanks for the support, I actually posted back to you on the other thread. My induction veg. carbs don't comeanywhere near the allowed 20. I buy a leeafy green salad mixture which is basically spring lettuces mixed with dill and cilantro and 2 cups of that plus a cup of cooked brocolli comes to only 4 net carbs. I do vary the veg,. so the count varies some but seldom andywhere near the allowed 20 even with a little cream and cheese. So if I try the different Owl rung levels one at a time, I can still stay right around 20 and not feel deprived. What do you think?

          I stayed on strict induction for 3 mos and am now doing a modified owl with great results. i dont like berries so I am going to experiment with a 1/2 grapefruit or 1/2 apple and see how my body accepts it. I beleive that everyone is different and we have to find what works best for us. Remember we have to make this a WOL and not a diet.
