Man, I thought I was doing a lot of exercise, but you guys are smok'in me....I need to get busy. I do an hour Pilates mat class twice a week. I run 4 miles 3 times a week and do 15 minutes of upper body weight training 2-3 times a week, in tandem w/ 30 minute eliptical HIIT (high intensity interval training) session. I exercise about 5 days a week.....roughly an hour not including Pilates.

I do a few things during the week. If I don't walk during my lunch break for 30 minutes (2 miles) then i'll do one of my Leslie Sansone videos. I just purchased the Walk and Kick video and really enjoy it. I also have the 2 mile Walk Away the Pounds and also the Walk and Jog but i'm not ready for the jog one yet. I exercise 5 days a week.Restarted Atkins 5/1/06

I used to walk about 1 to 1 1/2 hours each evening. When the weight loss slowed down, I realized I had to push myself some more. I think all of us have time constraints, so I needed something to give me "the most bang for my buck". I added weight lifting for 1/2 each night (splitting up my routine) and walk for about 45 minutes. The weight is still coming off slowly, but I am starting to get toned. My shoulders have so much definition now and I can actually feel my collar bonesStarted 4/18/04

I've had my struggles with exercise over the last year, and while over all I have been more active, it hasn't always included regularly scheduled exercise.
Since this Disneyland challenge from my friend, it's like a light switch has gone off in my head!
For Feb, I walked 3 times a week(sometimes 4, but I told myself 3 was the bare minimum) for a half hour...and walked briskly!
For March, my plan is to do the walk/slow jog, slowly increasing the jogging intervals.
For April, I will be extending my route.
I'm resisting the urge to do too much too soon, because I'm terrified that I'll get injured, and that'll be my breaking point.
I learned with Atkins that day by day stuff all adds up, so the same is with the exercise.

Oh GOD! You guys are making me all feel lazy, ok ok I'll get my butt off the chair and go for an hour long walk every day...ok? There ya happy? heh heh ;-)
I was waiting for the cold of winter to go away, I have no excuse now. So a brisk 1 hour walk is about 4 miles? I love to take my parrots out for walks in the spring and summer, but they attract so much attention that I am always being stopped, can't get any walking done that way. I'm on me own!

I go to Curves also. I absolute love it! I go 4 or 5 times a week during my lunch break and then on either Saturday or Sunday I try to do the tread mill for about 45 minutes.
Curves has really changed the way I look at life. I decided to start Atkins after I had been going there for a few months. The workouts made me feel great and I wanted to do more about my wieght loss so I decided that a low carb diet was the best way to do it.

I just joined the gym yesterday. I put it off and kept telling myself I'd start soon. That way I wasn't taking on too much at a time. Well that became a excuse. My plan is to go to the gym at least 4-5 times a week. There I will do a warm up of cardio of about 25 minutes and then another 30 minutes or so on weights. Then a cool down of 5 minutes of cardio. On the days that I don't go to the gym I will walk on my treadmill or do my WATP tape.~*Jena*~30
