If you are like so many of us on this board, we've tried low-fat, lived low-fat and only briefly, stayed with low-fat. One of the hardest parts of Atkins when I began is learning that fat could be our friend. I often eat a deviled egg for a snack with mayonaise or use ranch dressing as a dip for raw veggies or chicken wings or a coating to chicken when I bake it (I have this weird thing about chicken skin ... don't ask ... I just can't touch it.)

It also might be a time to change up your exercise a bit. I find when I reach a point of no loss, I try something different for a while ... the variety is great and whether it works or not, I've lost weight!

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

It's okay to eat the leaner meats, like fish and poultry and some cuts of pork on Atkins, instead of the fatty cuts of red meat. But if you do loose the leaner cuts, you must add fat.

As was pointed out, mayonnaise is a good choice. You can spice up your mayo by adding a teaspoon of mustard, herbs, spices, etc. Flavored oils (basil, chili, garlic, orange, etc.) can be purchased in most supermarkets---I use them for salad dressings or I pour them over a piece of cooked meat like a sauce. Butter is the old-standby, but you can flavor butter too with herbs and spices. Then there's my two favorites: hollandaise and bearnaise sauces (gotta love a "diet" that lets you eat a sauce made from egg yolks and alot of butter!)

This is what you might do.

Definitely up your exercise. This totally broke my stall.

Then try a rotation diet as is outlined in the 2002 DANDR book and see if there is anything you might be eating that could cause the stall or if you might have a food intolerance. He outlines which foods to cut and when in the book.

The exercise alone should make the diff, but trying the rotation diet was how I realized that mushrooms and saurkraut were bad for me. *lol*
