Re: So discouraged - been crying - not losing on Atkins.

Thanks for your reply Pinkfeathers ...and thanks to others for your comments. I was totally stalled during induction. But I had great advice - stick with it, be determined, it WILL work. And it finally did. I'm a really slow loser - but eventually a pound or two comes off...then another slooooooooooow wait. I keep my fat high. I drink my water. It's all right out of the book - I'm just resistant. But slowly it does happen. Recently I have changed my workouts to "intervals". I am really lucky - we have an exercise room at home (my husband is devoted to working out). Have any of you tried a site (Cardio Power Fitness Music | Download Workout | Cardio Music Workouts | Cardio MP3 Downloads for iPods) with downloadable MP3 workouts for your iPod? the are AWESOME (just fyi - i have NO affiliation with them - other than using the workouts ). You can use them in a variety of ways (even running) - but are great for the treadmill or elliptical. They last from 35 to 45 minutes - and are broken up into "challenges" -- so to make one session easier/faster - or harder - you can choose to do one "challenge" twice ..or skip it. I have seen my greatest weight loss recently since using them. And for all of you who have elevated blood pressure -- I am off any medications and maintaining bp in the 130/80 range -- goal to get it down to 120's in another month. I love those work outs (and they ARE a workout).
And Pinkfeathers -- if he says your face is looking thinner - I'm thinking you're close to getting ready to drop some pounds...hang in and persevere - you can do it! My first 6 weeks were TOTALLY demoralizing - but it works. Hang in.

pinkfeathers, how did your energy levels change since you started tracking things? Did they change at all?
