  • Office Breakfast?

Does anyone make breakfast at work? I currently use this microwave egg cooker every morning and have 2 boiled eggs (no salt) with my co-worker in the office. Some times.. i take the boiled eggs and microwave a sausage at work and throw it in a low carb wrap, but that is the extent of the creativity i have for an office breakfast.

I am looking for some more varity. Any ideas?

A low carb wrap is not allowed on Induction.

You could make an egg casserole at home (then you could include vegetables) and microwave a chunk at work.

You could, of course, eat breakfast at home ... and then have a snack at work.

I bring breakfast every morning, there are so many options:

      - 2 hb eggs mixed with a little mayo, on celery
      - pre-made omelette or crustless quiche
      - deviled eggs
      - actually anything leftover from the night before

You don't need to limit yourself to eggs

      good luck

I like making the quiches like broccoli and cheese. They're induction friendly and reheat well for breakfast.

Linda's low carb site has several different recipes.

I know... low carb wrap is not allowed =( but i will go insane if i follow induction to a T on extended.. but all these are great ideas.. i love the ideas of the casserole and taking them to work to heat up!

If you move to OWL, you'll open up many more options for delicious breakfasts. Milk, yogurt, nuts, berries, and that's just up to Rung 4!

A good reason not to stay on an extended Induction.

And since a low carb wrap is made from grains, it's not allowed until the grains rung of OWL.

If your stats are correct, and you have only 30 more pounds until goal, you should absolutely positively be on OWL.

You can't get to maintenance without going through OWL!

I see what you guys are saying but.. if i eat an occasional wrap.. but still follow.. extended is that bad? I do much better on extended, but being 100% on extended is hard.. I don't eat nuts, yogart or berries.. etc..

                  Re: Office Breakfast?

I don't know about "bad" . It is not really extended induction though and many people who start to add back an occasional food just like that just end up on a slippery slope before they know it. So just be careful.
For breakfast you could microwave some left overs some times if you like.
If you brought a blender you could make an egg cream shake.

Nuts, berries and yogurt make a good breakfast - I have that once in awhile

Well, it's not following extended Induction, for one thing.

You're eating a food that is best saved for pre-maintenance, so that's not good.

It seems to me that you have an "addiction" to the wraps ... if you can't give them up now.

                    >>being 100% on extended is hard.. I don't eat nuts, yogart or berries..>>

                    Then don't do extended.

Atkins isn't about staying on Induction your whole life.

What do you mean you don't eat nuts, yogurt or berries ... do you mean ever or just now.

Bottom line ... low carb wraps are not appropriate now ... and they won't be for some time.

You're definitely doing great! I started to lose again once I moved to OWL. I definitely recommend it. And I've got tons more to lose than you, so don't be afraid to move on some!

I make pumpkin eggnog shakes for breakfast every morning and drink at work. SO yummy! There are all kinds of varieties--search the forums and you'll find a big thread about them.

I don't eat nuts or yogurts or berries because it is not on induction.. however i do have an occasional wrap.. because yes i do allow that for myself (its a personal choice).. I understand some people are die hards... And i know Atkins is not about staying on induction your WHOLE life... i have read the book.. the "Then don't do extended" I'm not understanding the responses on i am getting on this thread.. it seems attacking... I didn't know induction was an all or nothing.. i see people posting on this induction extended forum about how they "cheating" and how they ate forbidden foods.. I belive you can be on induction.. and have an occasional "forbbin food" .. come on people.. no one is perfect.. if we were perfect.. we would not be over weight in the first place.

I am not perfect.. ok .. let me be the first person to say.. I CANNOT be on extended induction without having an occasion wrap.. and for you die hards out ther who are going to give me crap for eatin an occasional wrap.. i am sorry...

Maybe i am not understanding your posts atkinsgal.. but i feel like you think because i eat a low carb wrap on extended induction.. you feel i am not a true follower of extended induction.. while technically you are correct... if i minus the low carb wrap i have... i am a true follower.. however i am still a follower.. i belive having one low carb wrap like.. once a week roughly does not mean i should be kicked off extended induction off to OWL. Maybe i am wrong i dunno... *sigh* i really just want different ideas for things to eat for breakfast other then boiled eggs in the morning that are in the extended induction realm.... maybe the eggs are getting to my brain.

You cannot eat wraps and say you're on Induction period.

Grains are not an Induction food ... they're the last rung of OWL.

That you choose to do Atkins Induction (regular or "extended") the way YOU want to doesn't change the facts.

                            >>I belive you can be on induction.. and have an occasional "forbbin food">>

In my best Dr. Phil voice ... "How's that workin' for you"?

Here's the deal ... you asked for help ... you didn't get the answer you wanted ... so you can continue to do what you choose to do ... it's just not going to change the answer!

                            >>i feel like you think because i eat a low carb wrap on extended induction.. you feel i am not a true follower of extended induction>>

We're not talking about "them" ... we're talking about YOU.

                            >> CANNOT be on extended induction without having an occasion wrap..>>

Sure you can ... you're choosing not to!

I used to think I couldn't live without chocolate ... I was wrong.
