    Hey extended inductees....

    I just completed 2 weeks clean induction as of today and am down 7.5 lbs. YAY!
    I have decided that since I have another 40 or so lbs to lose I am going to take this 2 weeks at a time, and for the next 2 weeks, I am staying on induction. I feel good here, I am losing, etc. I want to lose I think about 1/2 the weight before I go on to OWL. I think thats what Dr. Atkins suggests in his book also for people with a decent amount to lose.

    So anyhoo, here is to another 2 weeks of clean low carbing, and maybe another 7 lbs, (wouldn't that be nice) Though I know a lot of people stall in week 3.

    In the words of Dr. A...And away we go! The induction phase!

    Welcome -- make sure you don't stay on extended induction too long....many people, myself included, stopped loosing and didn't start again until we went on to OWL Rung 1 and added the dditional 5 net carbs of vegetables.

    Congratulations on your losses this far and god luck to you.

      Congrats, Kim! Your results show that you are not metabolically resistant.

            This is a little late, sorry.
            Thank you for all of your replies.

            Carole, Your right, this is the first time doing this that I WILL actually go onto OWL. Last time I stayed on induction for 6 weeks, lost 21 lbs but fell off the wagon. I also have to move on because I need to make it a lifestyle. I tend to get obsessed with the ketostix and all that. So this time I am going to do it right.
            Tomorrow is weigh and measure day and the start of week 4. I will decide then whether to move up to rung 1 or not.

            Gorgiana - yes i have read the whole book actually, but I will definitely read it again for a refresher as I move on through.
