Hi, have you heard of the MIM? Muffin in a Minute?
Sounds strange but very good.
1/4 flax meal
1 large egg
1 tsp butter
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 packet of splenda
cinnamon
mix all dry ingredients.
melt butter and stir in with egg
mix well in a coffee cup any small microwavable bowl
microwave 1 minute
it actually is a muffin you can eat with your hand.
add some cream cheese or butter yum
oh I love it a lot more with 1 heaping tablespoon of pumpkin added to the mix and nuked for 1.5 minutes..kinda like oatmeal
hope you try it

Re: breakfast ideas?? strongly dislike eggs!! LOL
Well actually it depends what foods you like, but anything on the acceptable foods list can be eaten at breakfast. Since you don't like eggs, eat what you would have at a lunch meal. There are many days I didn't feel like eggs, and I had leftovers from dinner the night before.Originally posted by OneSixtyFive View Posthey! i need some ideas for breakfast that doesnt involve eggs...got sick from them one time when i was pregnant and i cant stomach them now..any suggestions?
What did you eat for breakfast before you started Atkins?

Re: breakfast ideas?? strongly dislike eggs!! LOL
Remember though that ground flax (linseed outside USA) is only allowed on induction under the 'constipation' rule and you should only be having one or two tablespoons of it.Originally posted by SouLThinKing View PostHi, have you heard of the MIM? Muffin in a Minute?
Sounds strange but very good.
Ingredients include 1/4 cup flax meal
So cut that recipe in half (make 2 smaller muffins maybe) so as not to overdo the flax.
Also do make sure you up your water intake to avoid 'blockage'
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: breakfast ideas?? strongly dislike eggs!! LOL
Im a vegetarian, but i would suggest your breakfast meats like ham would be good and then adding cheese and some peppers. so cook up some onions, (green would be so good!) and some green bell pepper, and cut up some ham or bacon and adding cheese on top. im thinking like a low carb garbage hash almost,,, without the hash LOL
hope that helped

Have some non-traditional breakfast foods at breakfast! I like to eat salmon some mornings and other times I'll have a beef patty with cheese. I only eat "breakfast" foods for breakfast about 3 times a week, all the others I'll have some sort of meat that I like.

Re: breakfast ideas?? strongly dislike eggs!! LOL
Thanks so much for all the ideas!! I didnt think about just eating something not "breakfasty" lol..before atkins i just ate whatever...cucumbers are one of my faves i guess i could eat those too..or just some cheese..not a big breakfast eater..things like sausage and stuff make me nauseated by smelling them cooking early in the morning..LOL i know im wierd!!!
im more of a grab and go type person so something small would do for me!! The muffins sound good! I will have to try that one..Thanks!!

Re: breakfast ideas?? strongly dislike eggs!! LOL
I thought I was the only one in the world who didn't like eggs, guess not. I always got the weird look when I told people I don't like eggs. They seemed to be in shock, the most common reaction was, "not even scrambled?" Gross!Originally posted by OneSixtyFive View Posthey! i need some ideas for breakfast that doesnt involve eggs...got sick from them one time when i was pregnant and i cant stomach them now..any suggestions?
I can't stand the little embryos(that's what they are), and to make it worse they are on ALOT of Atkins recipes. So gross.
I have been eating baked salmon for breakfast these past 2 days.

Re: breakfast ideas?? strongly dislike eggs!! LOL
I usually don't have eggs for breakfast except on the weekends. We do have a microwave at work so I'll take
Ground turkey with some veggies in it
tuna mixed with small amount of mayo, and veggies
I'll eat leftovers for breakfast as well as sometimes that will curb my hunger for 4-6 hours when I'm busy at work!
You can eat anything on plan for breakfast!

Re: breakfast ideas?? strongly dislike eggs!! LOL
I love making a big batch of little breakfast sausages on the weekend and reheating them Monday-Wednesday. You could make another batch midweek when you get into the groove of things. My grocery store carries sausages that have just a few ingredients (meat, seasonings, casing). Just make sure they are sugar free and nitrate free, and double check the label for carbs.
I also have an ounce or so of whole cheese, which is delicious to me in the morning. Any LC leftovers would work, as well. And if you have reg or decaf coffee, use whole cream! It is so filling and satisfying in the morning.
