  • Advice please.

    Hey everyone! I am a third timer on atkins and have always gotten success with the diet. I am currently at my highest weight EVER after 2 kids and it NEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS to go. Im done breastfeeding so its time!!! I want to do extended induction until I reach 199!
    i am currently sitting at 140. I just wanted to know what worked best for u? What kind of foods were u eating on the weeks were u lost most? or excersice that worked best for u? Id love to get to 199 ASAP! lol

    hope that is a typo and you are not really 140 heading for 199.
    I eat almost all the ususal veggies for induction I didn't carefor the hearts of palm nor the kolrabi in the other veggies and I never saw any sorrel,mache, nor escarole in my stores so I never had them.

    I walked working up to doing HIIT walking on a treadmill at a very fast pace with the incline and I added weight lifting after I got in good cardio shape. I also did all the free exercise I could like marching in polace parking far away doing laps of the mall between stores pputting up thelaundry one piece at a timeetc. just keep moving and fidgeting all day long as much as you can and read the book.

      What foods work best for me will not be the foods that work best for you.

      What kind of foods were u eating on the weeks were u lost most?
      There are many reasons why one can lose more weight one week and less the next... other than the foods ate.

      excersice that worked best for u?
      Anything I liked and did regularly.

      I want to do extended induction until I reach 199!
      I hope you have the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution and will read Chapters 12 and 13 after you're done with your first two weeks of Induction.

        Thanks, and like my post stated, I have been here before and lost 90 pounds in 2 and a half months on my first time, had a smashin body! =) And of course there are fat foods that WILL make everyone lose faster.

          We are all going to be very different. Atkins induction is I think the ultimate - what makes your odds the best - so the times I have followed it I have treid to do it strictly. For me it really works to stick to basic clean meat - fish, meat, eggs and veggies that I prepare myself. I cut out all sugars a lot of dairy, drink pleny of water.

          Exercise I think works well for keeping metabolism sharp and for toning. I also like that it makes me feel good.

                The first time on atkins, FISH would make me melt. Shrimp in garlic butter would pretty much garantee me a pound lost...seriously
