    Okay so yesterday I totally cheated for lack of a better term. I had so much crap because I was craving it. Why? I don't know, I just was craving candy. TOM? Maybe, I don't know. But I did it and now I'm back on the Atkins horse and I feel fine.

    I'm just a bit disappointed that I lost weight the first 3 weeks and then I just kind of stalled. :sadblinky

    The road to better health is not always an easy one. But it is so worth it.

    For me it is my mindset. I know if I cheat then I am spiraling out of control, so I don't allow myself to cheat.

    Plan ahead! Plan for success.

    If I am thinking of something (illegal food)and wanting to cheat, I go for a walk, I come to ADBB and read and try to help someone else. I drink more water. I have a snack of a legal food, like a boiled egg.

    If you will just refrain from giving in to your cravings, the cravings will pass.

      Don't they just gnaw at you??? I swear, after I gave in last night, I was fine. And today, I'm fine, no cravings. Shaking my head at myself...I just don't understand. :sadblinky

        They do go away if you do as Becky Sue suggested and either do something to take your mind off it, drink a glass of water, eat a legal high-fat snack etc.

        What happened is that just like an alcoholic or other drug addict you felt better once you had taken your drug of choice - in our case that is sugar or highcarb foods.
        You had your fix so you felt fine :yikes
        If you battle those cravings with some of the stragegies Becky Sue mentioned they will eventually fade away. :hug
