I have tried it many times, but I too found it very time consuming. I either couldn't find what I ate, or didn't have time to enter the custom foods. I think for those who have gotten used to it and like it, that it is great for them. I use a carb counter for my carb counts, and every now and then do plug my menu into fitday just to look at my ratios.

For those that want to know more about the purchased fitday

The fitday that you purchase is BETTER, you get your moneies worth. More reports, more details. I like how it will give you an average of your carbs and calories over a certain length of time. If I go over one day and have done OK the rest of the week, its nice to see that I am not as bad as I felt I was. I also like the fact that it will allow you to be more specific when it comes to the amount of calories that you actually burn each day.

You do have to start all over with the new software, but with all that you get from it, I thinks its worth it!
