  • Knocking on the back door

    Well, though it seems I crept in via the back door, here I am in maintenance! YAY!!!

    I’m almost a kilo below goal now and, rather than finding my CCLM, I seem to have found my CCWOETM (critical carbohydrate way of eating to maintain… Oh boy! Dr A would really turn in his grave!!!) Seems I’m not so good with fixed numbers. I mean… for the last six weeks I’ve been eating between 35 to 48 carbs per day and my weight has been yes, fluctuating a little, but never moving permanently up or down… so this seems to be the way I can eat at my present level of exercise.

    It feels wonderful to be here with you all, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of a lifetime of healthy eating and weight maintenance.

    Congrats on making it to goal. It can be a balancing act, but as long as you watch to make sure you never gain more than 5lbs, you should be ok.

          Congrats on making through the first major section (the losing) of this WOE. That is a huge deal. I wish you much luck and confidence with the maintenance section. You know the trick or the way to lose weight now; for the future, you just need to figure out how to maintain it. I am sure that you will be as successful in doing that. Good job!

                  Thanks so much Desertthorn and Betty Re exercise...so far am sticking to my 35 mins a day exercise routine and 40 mins a day speedy dog walking (my dogs just love Atkins!). I agree Betty...exercise is hugely important. You are so inspirational with your enthusiasm!
