    Re: Some People!!!

One word: Denial. She's in it big time. That's very sad. I hope she stops to think about eating a bag of donuts when her pants stop fitting.

I also am trying to slowly back up my sleep schedule by going to bed a little earlier and then making myself get up earlier. If I could just shut down my brain, but as soon as it's dark and quiet, my brain starts to race. I have a couple of friends with the same problem and they take Xanax on a daily basis to help them sleep, but I don't want to start that.

Woolworths used to be a very popular store here in the USA. I see they closed all 807 stores in England, but then said one re-opened in the county of Dorset and is called Wellworths - or ‘Wellies’ for short. I just looked them up to see what their status was here in the US and it said: In 1997, F. W. Woolworth Company converted itself into a sporting goods retailer, closing its remaining retail stores operating under the "Woolworth's" brand name and renaming itself Venator Group. By 2001, the company focused exclusively on the sporting goods market, changing its name to the present Foot Locker Inc (NYSE: FL)

It's sad to see them go that route, but they must have been doing something wrong or they wouldn't have tanked.

P.S. what is a static bike?
Hee Hee, was watching Two and a half men yesterday and someone said something about a stationary bicycle so I guess that is what you would know it as. I do like Two and a Half Men that just shows my mental state I suppose.

How interesting to hear about Woolworths. I had no idea they were Foot Locker although I have shopped there a few times. My son used to live in New York and we used to visit and shop and eat quite often. Many years ago I lived in New York, so my eldest son stayed over there when I left my husband and came home.

The High Streets of Britain are looking very odd as many big stores are closing down. People are not using these shops, they shop on line or use the supermarkets for so many things. It is so easy to get stuff delivered with no hassle of actually standing in line to pay or truding around looking for the right thing. However, it is still sad to see these places close. I loved Woolies, I had my first job there as a Saturday girl. I met my first love on the Christmas Card counter oh that was a long long time ago.
