I actually skipped the dairy rung because I was never a big dairy consumer before and even on induction maybe had an ounce of cheese a day. After being on the berry rung for a couple of weeks and reading all these threads about yogourt, I went back and bought some plain, high fat yogourt. I have one serving a day now (100 grams, a perfect size little bowl for me and 6 carbs according to the labelling) with a tablespoon or two of mixed berries and a bit of Splenda. YUM!
I alternate between yogurt and cottage cheese. Since I finally made it to grains, I've started sprinkling a tablespoon of toasted wheat germ on it. :yummy
Actually, cottage and ricotta cheeses are two foods I really like. Wonder why I haven't added them back! It's been a while since I added a new food. I think I'll pick me up some cottage cheese!
I'm now trying to decided if I should wait a week between each rung, or wait 2 weeks. I think 1 week would be okay for the dairy, but I will give the other rungs 2 weeks just to be on the safe side.
