    Loliloli, your avocados were not ripe then if they were hard and bitter! if you press lightly on the flesh, they should just begin to dent slightly and the insides are smooth and slightly firm. Im sorry to say but you ate one that wasnt quite ready yet!

      Well i'm sitting here having my avocado with sour cream, cracked black pepper and sea salt, OMG i cant believe what i've been missing! what a great summertime lunch too..nice and easy and light.

        Mmmmm. Throw some shrimp or crabmeat in there too, Sadie! I just had a delish salad made with lettuce, leftover roast beef, a couple of grape tomatoes, grated cheese and egg on top and some cubed avocado. OMG!!!! I wish I still smoked cuz I needed a ciggie after that little food orgy. Mmmmmm.

          Avocado is great. I l.o.v.e. a green salad with chunks of grilled tuna, tomatoes, some red pepper strips and avocado!

              When you buy them, they should be a little giving if yo press, not oo much, but not hard. If there aren't any ripe ones, put them in a paper bag for a day in the pantry or closet and check them. They should pien after a day or two.

                I'll have to try the sour cream and caviar sounds awesome. Hmmm think I've got a stash of fish eggs someplace.
