Re: how to get some extra carbs

Ooph! I don't think I want 14 cups cups of anything at one sitting!! I assume you don't HAVE to eat 5 net carbs of any particular thing - you could have 2.5 of one thing and 2.5 of another right?

You have been such a help, thank you. I absolutely intend on being added to the supporters list just as soon as I'm able. Thank you guys for everything!

If you're looking for your CCLL, I would try to add those 5 net carbs---otherwise, it might take you forever to find it.

With that said, in the lower rungs, especially vegetables, 5 net carbs of something could be 15 cups (like lettuce), which is an outrageously huge amount. But you can combine different carb veggies to make up that 5 net carb. For example, you can have a stir-fry using different veggies that will give you 5 net carbs per serving. Valid Rogue posted her zucchini recipe as an example of combining different veggies to make 5 net carb servings.

I actually bought one of those julienne peelers at Linens and Things last weekend and made 'spaghetti' out of zucchini with alfredo sauce last week. It turned out really well! I think I'm going to try Valid Rogue's recipe tonight. Especially since I get to sit around the kids' pizza and not eat anything. We promised them CiCi's. Last time hubby and I did okay, I made sure I wasn't hungry when we went then just waited to eat until I got home. Smelled SO good tho. lOL

Those julienne peelers are great! There used to be a machine that you stuck the veggie into it, turned the handle and the veggie would come out in noodly form. I can't remember what it was called, but I never bought one.....
