  • I messed up. Moving up to berries....

    I messed up and bought raspberries and blueberries for the berry rung when I should have been buying stuff for the nut rung. Rather than waste them, I decided to skip to berries first and then go back to nuts.

    My scale decided to stop working the other day, which is probably a good thing. I was focusing too much on the scale anyways. If I lose inches, I figure it's good enough for me.

    It is amazing how little food I am satisfied with. I had cottage cheese with blueberries for lunch yesterday and was okay with that. I used to wolf down a bowl full of tortilla chips, an entree and then go looking for chocolate.

    I love being full.

    zoe-when i started moving up the rung i decided to skip the nut rung all together for a while. i knew that i have a hard time controlling my urges when it comes to nuts, so i waited for a few weeks, did the berries rung first, and then went back to pick up the nut rung later. i can't find it in the book yet, but i remember reading somewhere that due to things like allergies and the like it is ok to skip rungs, so i don't imagine skipping a rung will hurt. besides with berries being so fresh at this time of year, it didn't bother me to skip the nut rung.

      And on the other note, some people are allergic to nuts/seeds so they avoid that rung all together and do just fine. I imagine you'll do just as well

        Mmmmm, berries!!!
        I just had 6 strawberries dipped in plain greek yogurt!! Deeelicious!
