I've always wondered if that "rule" applied to atkins. My dh and I often don't eat till after 8pm. Especially on the weekends. Doesn't seem to have affected me, but I just wondered if that applied more to the sugar-burning metabolism, rather than the fat-burning metabolism. Anyone?

I know for a fact it does not bother me because sometimes I have to eat late at night ...as long as I move my body at some point between dinner and breakfast I do fine .even a walk or picking up around the house...just some type of movement for at least 30 min between meals helps me digest and utilize the food better..but that is for me....going to sleep on a full tummy is horrible if you have stomach problems that is a fact...

I'd rather go to bed satisfied than hungry.
I had heard somewhere that you should allow about 1.5 to 2 hrs before bed, after eating.

That's the only reason I mentioned it - because I was eating, and then going to bed, and I don't usually make a habit of doing that.
