  • where i'm at

After boot camp I had a crazy week where I ate some squash and macadamias. I gained back 5 pounds but it was also TOM time.

Then I cut out the nuts and just did a couple of weeks adding a spaghetti squash serving every couple of days.

Then I did the dairly level but the only food that interested me on that level was yogurt. I added one of the carb control kind - 3 grams.

And now I have added back nuts and consider myself on rung 3 because that really interests me. But I keep it to a couple of tablespoons full, maybe every 3 days and I don't have to have it. The other rungs just don't interest me and I plan to stay where I'm at, possibly for life.

Am I weird? I don't miss fruit. I never want to eat it again.
I don't want to deal with things that spike my blood.

The last time I was at the doctors I found out that I lost the 5 pounds again. So thats good. I suspect I'm probably still at that 183 but my clothing is fitting looser and I'm not remotely worried that I won't lose the weight.

I'm very happy with what I'm currently eating, I'm not bored, and enjoying myself.

Is there absolutely no fruit you can like?

There are some fruits, like berries, which are "a powerhouse of nutrients", quoting Dr Atkins, and are so nutritionally dense that you can eat less of this food compared to another food of the same nutrients.

Is it possible to mash some fruit and make a smoothie with cream?

I know many Australians love to put chopped fruits into the freezer during summer-time, and will eat a small piece or 2 like an ice-block, because frozen fruit tastes just like fruity ices.

      fruit

I never liked berries thats for sure. Little creepy seedy things are not for me.

I was fond of other fruit, especially pears. it isn't about liking fruit. i just don't want to deal with the overwhelming sweetness - I'm afraid it may trigger me to eat more and more of it. And I don't want to deal with things that give me a sugar high. especially after finding stability with my type II diabetes.

If you can do portion control you can do a slice of pear with some cheese or a slice with your salad.

How about those legumes? A few beans in your soup or salad or as a dip?
If those are the only foods you want then you can do it like many do and add more of the lower rungs I have 4 sets of rung 1 in my CCLL level. Sohave your 3 cups form induction and then 10 grams of veggies and in a few weeks add 5 more so you ar goetting lots of those vital nutrients and you are learnign where your carb limit is too.

You can meak some great veggie soups, stews and sauces from pureed veggies.

          *hehe*, fair enough, Tabekat

As 2big4mysize says, you can take the fruits you do like and try to "hide" it in your food... better still, get someone else to do it - I know it works for pets, maybe us humans can be easily fooled too
