Well first let me say that since December, I have not eaten off plan once until yesterday. Eating off plan yesterday was not planned and it was pretty much unavoidable.
My other half's oldest daughter was admitted to the hospital late Friday night. We spent most of the day yesterday there with her in waiting rooms and then her room once she was stable. Most importantly she is now stable and hopefully will be going home tomorrow.
When things calmed a bit yesterday it was around lunch time. I managed to find a pretty decent salad with arugula/rocket and other veggies. Oil and vinegar on it and a boiled egg for a bit of protein. From there everything was downhill. There wasn't a single food available around dinner time that was safe. Even the burgers had issues (I'd bet anything they were the ones with the fillers). So I went with a meat on a stick type of dish but after one bite I knew it was not a good choice.
I'm all for preparing ahead of time but this really was one of those extreme life situations. My question though - what's the best approach to recovering? I'm chugging the water already (started that with the meal) and of course will eat on plan as of right now. Should I stay where I am in OWL or do a day of pure induction foods? - Oh wait, had Greek yogurt with blueberries already this morning - scratch that. Anyway - need some expert advice here. Not concerned about the progress slowing down which I know it probably will, just looking for a back on track strategy.
Thanks in advance!
