    Re: Question..

    >>Decided to have an iced beverage, Pomegranate drink made with Splenda.>>

It could be the Splenda or it could be the pomegranate. That's a pretty carby fruit, and not allowed on Induction.

      Re: Question..

There's NO fruit in it. Just tastes like it. Kind of like Crystal Light. One of the first things I've seen made with Splenda... so i thought I'd try it. I don't think I'll be having it again. Wow... it just kicked my butt!

            Re: Question..

Sorry I'm late with the cabbage roll casserole recipe. This is the basic recipe I work from. I tinker with the amounts and do my nutritional stats based on that.

Polish Golubki Casserole (LC Cabbage Roll Casserole)
            • 1 lb Ground Beef (I usually use ground bison)
            • 1/2 lb Ground Pork
            • 1 med Onion -- chopped
            • 1 Garlic clove -- minced
            • Salt & Pepper to taste
            • 15 oz Tomato sauce (I use Hunt's No Salt Added)
            • Splenda (optional) Some cabbage roll recipes are made with tomato soup. A packet or so of Splenda gives that sweetness found in the soup.
            • *4 c Shredded Cabbage (I use a small head and measure that amount for carb counts)

Brown the ground beef and pork in a large skillet with the onions and garlic, drain off the fat. Add the remaining ingredients except cabbage to the meat mixture and simmer for 10 minutes. Put half of the cabbage into a 2-quart casserole dish, top with half of the meat mixture, top with the remaining cabbage and finally top the cabbage with the remaining meat mixture. (The casserole dish will be rather full, but that's OK, it will cook down). Cover the casserole and bake in a preheated oven 350°F for 45 minutes.

*ETA: Sometimes I use a bag of angel hair cabbage (finely shredded cabbage for coleslaw without carrots) to make this dish super quick and easy.

I can't believe I just now realized my first trigger. I just can't believe it!
That's terrific! Make a note of it and if you are confronted with the food again, you'll know better.
