to see what you guys think about my menu today...
I have not had the time to put it all into fitday, I have been just adding together carb counts on the packages of food, but I am 99% sure this is pretty accurate.

    Lunch:
    1c spinach 1g carb
    3 oz chicken 1g carb
    1oz mozerella 1g carb

    Snack:
pepperoni chips (not burnt!) 1g carb

    Dinner:
1c cauliflower with cheese sauce 7 carbs

    late night snack:
made these muffin things...1 strip of bacon wrapped around a muffin tin with an egg cracked inside and a tiny bit of cheese on top, I haven't eaten any yet but since I have to be up late ill probably have 1 maybe 2 later
    2.5 carbs each

so I'm assuming I'm eating 2 egg mcmuffins later tonight, and that puts me at 16 carbs total.

What do you guys think? good/bad? thanks!

Well fridays and saturdays are really weird schedule wise for me...I wake up around 11 because I have to be up until 3am..so my lunch is really my breakfast I guess, I just dont call it that bc its a salad :-p and my late night snack I guess would be my dinner...is that still bad? I eat REAL breakfast Sunday-Thurs, then friday and saturday i start with lunch, but have a snack at night.

I could only see 2 cup of veggies!
Also it doesnt seem much food for a whole day.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

It IS a lot lot less than what I used to eat, but everytime I eat more than a cup and a half of food I feel SICKLY full. I am eating until I am not hungry anymore. Hmm so I should add in more veggies...I need to get creative then! Cauliflower and spinach are my favorites so I tend to eat them a lot while my asparagus and broccoli sit in the freezer. Maybe I should make a goal to have 1c of veggies with every meal I eat...even breakfast..that way I know I'm getting enough. Should I eat MORE anyway, even though I feel full after every meal?

They already said it, but I'd eat a little more. More protein... maybe for dinner.

You could always make a sauce from some cooked red peppers or onions - just puree them in a food processor or chop them really fine, add some butter and perhaps some cream or grated cheese.

hmm, well thanks for the suggestions! I have no means to puree anything at the moment, I'm saving up for a food processor, but it may be a month or so before I can get one...My finances are really tight right now because I'm having a lot of work done on my car. I could add in some more protien though...I WISH I could have low carb tortillas, then I'd make some yummy chicken fajitas!

Your menu looks pretty good. I see from your previous post that you were encouraged to eat more veggies.. But remember, on induction, it is 3 cups of salad veggies, or 2 cups salad veggies, and 1 cup of other veggies.. I think spinach, broccoli, and cauliflower are all on the 1 cup list, if I remember correctly.. Also, watch your cheese intake and make sure you aren't going over your daily allotment.

                        Good luck!

*sigh* yeah I know I am having probs with the veggies...I used to eat NO veggies at all, so adding all these has been a huge effort on my part...it's tough, I looked at the list and there is NOTHING on the first list that I like, I have tried LOTS of new things lately, it may just take me some time to get my menus right. I am making an effort though.

I think it is great you are trying new things.. I too was never a veggie fan, but I have learned to like many.. You don't like any kind of salad veggies, lettuce, romaine maybe?? Try some different salad dressings, that might help. What about cucumber slices in ranch dip.. or I chop some celery really fine and add it to homemade chicken or tuna salad. Also, jicaima can be really tasty if you have never tried it..
Don't give up, it just takes a little patience to learn new things!

And I think that on this board it is accepted that raw spinach ought to have been on the 2-cup list, so 2 cups of that would have been fine.
Any chance of having some of your veggies with breakfast? Better to spread them out.
