  • Day 4 of a newbie

    Hi. I am on day 4 and I would just love someone to review my menu so I know if I am doing this right!!

    Here's todays menu:

    Breakfast--3 develed eggs, yokes mixed with 1 tsp dry mustard, 2 tbls mayo and a dash of salt.

    Lunch--4 fat slices of Suprosota with 4 slices of munster cheese (approximatly 2oz)
    1/2 cup zuchinni sauteed in butter with italian seasoning, dash of salt

    Dinner--2 chicken thighs baked with rosemary, thyme, garlic and pepper
    2 cups salad greens with 2 crumbled eggs and 1/2 slice diced ham
    2 tbls salad dressing--hidden valley dry mixed with mayo and water

    Snack--5 slices of no sugar added bread and butter pickels

    For drinks I have had 6- 8oz bottles of water and 2 cups of tea with 1 tsp splenda in each (sorry! I can't give up my caffine!!)

    Hmmm... I definitely not the best person to be giving advice, but as for suggestions based on what I've read from the book...

    1) you should drink decaf tea
    2) make sure to count each splenda packet as 1 carb
    3) drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water
    4) I am not sure about the no sugar added bread and butter pickels, but the more strict you are during induction the better because it will really help you reach ketosis.

    Today is day four for me too! I've lost 5lbs, but mostly water =) I hope you the best with your weight loss goals though!

      Those bread and butter pickles worry me also. I know we can eat dills but I don't know about thoes.
      I have never given up my caffeine either.

        oh, I would die without my caffine!!

        The bread and butter pickels are made with splenda so they have no sugar and total carbs are <1g so I thought they would help with the sweet cravings (which I get everynight while I watch my family eat bowls of ice cream!! ).
