  • Day 2 Pls review my menu

    Hi,
    So yesterday was day two of induction and I think I did pretty well but I want someone to check to make sure Im on track.

    Here is what I ate:

    2 egg whites
    3 slices swiss cheese with salami
    small cesar salad- no crutons
    1/2 chicken breast
    5 pepperoni sticks
    14 chicken wings with a cream dipping sauce
    3.5 litres of water.


    I would appreciate any feedback.

    Looks okay, but
    why did you eat only the whites of the eggs?
    You should be eating fat/protein and carbs at each meal, so with your eggs you could have added some mushrooms or tomato
    With the ceasar you should have had a protein like some shrimp or chicken which you might have done.
    What is in the cream dipping sauce. I like hot wings in either Ranch and you could also dip some celery in with that.

      Well done for asking for advice this early in your Atkins journey

      Desertthorn is right, you need to spread your 3 cups of veggies over all your meals to even out any blood sugar spikes.

        Yep, agreed! You need to get your veggies in, and try something other than lettuce. There isn't much nutritional value in it. The egg yolks will give you the needed "good" fat as well.

        Otherwise, it looks like you are on the right track, keep it up!
