    Is there any way you can find out in advance where you are going to eat and look at their website or phone them and ask what the menu options are, so you can work out what you can eat there?

    If not make sure you have with you the list of allowed foods (there is a wallet sized list on the induciton forum you can print out) to refresh your memory of what is 'legal'.

    I used to carry packets of 'legal' salad dressing with me so I know it was OK and order salad with no dressing. Or you can usually get plain oil and vinegar to mix up your own dressing if you cant find out from the wait staff if dressings have sugar added.

    Order grilled meats with no sauces and plain steamed veggies and ask for some real butter or sour cream to add fat to your veggie carbs.

    If you are going to a fast food place you can usually order without the bun or bread, pizza places usually have wings which if they are not coated with breading or batter will be fine.

    And dont be embarrassed to ask for no bread or croutons - most staff are used to special dietry requirements.

      Yeah there is no way to tell where we are going to be.
      Thanks for the advince. I am sure I can get grilled chicken and salad and some veggies. One thing though. How will I be able to tell how many carbs it will be. I am going to have the broccoil quiche for breaky. and not sure what to do about dinner.

      I have to cook for my husband who will not eat what I am eating for the most part so that makes things abit tricky at times.

        April 3rd

        Today I feel fine I hear about how most people don't feel so well. I have been waiting for it to happen so I guess it's a good thing I am feeling ok. Well other then a bit of headache and light headedness.

        1 pice of Broccoil Quiche
        2 pices of Bacon.

        Lunch
        I was worried about today because I had to go out for Lunch for work. I had not a clue what is where where having. So I am going on eyeing what I had. I do notice one thing though. After I take my vitamins I get light headed then or it just might be because I didn't eat much.

        Lunch
        1/2 cup spring mix lettus
        1 Tbs blue cheese
        Half of a grilled chicken brest.
        whater ro drink.

        We had an extra person show up to lunch. It would have been more but where I was they had all ready ordered out. So when I got home I had.
        1 pice of ham
        1 hard boiled egg.

        Dinner
        2 pice of Deep Dish Pizza (http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/deep_dish_pizza.html)
        1 Salad.
        2oz Feta cheese
        1 Tbs oil and vinagar

        Whater to Drink.
        April 4th

        Breaky

        2 scrambled eggs
        3 pices of bacon
        water to drink

        Lunch

        1 salad (http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/everyday_salad.html)
        1 pice of Deep Dish Pizza (http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/deep_dish_pizza.html)

        Dinner
        To night we had an early Easter Dinner I had a big slip up everyone was raving about how good it was. Bad as this might sound I ended up having some mased potaos and corn bread stuffing. Afterwards I got sick. In the end it was a great lesson for me. My advice to any one else is Don't do it.

        Broccoli 1/2 cup
        Turky 1 oz
        1/2 cup corn bread
        1/2 mashed potatos
        Salad
        dressing
        Water to drink

        April 5th

        Breaky

        1 pice of Broccoli Quiche
        3 pices of bacon
        water to drink

        Lunch

        2 cups roman lettus
        1 pice of grilled chicken breast
        dressing
        1 slice of tomato

        Dinner

        1/2 oz of turky
        1 Salad.
        1oz Feta cheese
        1 Tbs oil and vinagar
        1/2 oz raw broccoli

        April 6th
        2 boiled eggs
        3 pices of bacon.
        water to drink

        Lunch

        water

        Dinner
        1 boneless chicken breast, grilled
        4 ounces leaf lettuce, chopped, about 2 cups
        1/2 small tomato
        1/2 ounce feta cheese
        2 crisp pieces bacon, crumbled
        1 hard boiled egg, sliced in half
        water to drink

        Please feel free to give an advice

          Hey all. I just want to know if someone could look at what I have doen in the last few days I am going to give a link to my journal it shows what I have eaten on thoes days. Please let me know if I am on the right track.
          I feel fine other then no much hungry around supper time. One thing I have been having trouble with is I am a bit consipated I have been taking benefiber it does not seam to be helping much. I was thinking of drinking a bit of prune later today. If any one has any other suggestions please let me know.
