  • My menu for day 1

    Hope I am getting it right. Any input will be appreciated.

    Breakfast:
    Egg salad consisting of 2 hard-boiled eggs, 1 Tablespoon mayonnaise, 1/2 cup lettuce.

    Lunch:
    Tuna salad consisting of 6 ounces tuna, 6 cherry tomatoes, 1/2 cup lettuce and 1 Tablespoon mayonnaise.

    Dinner/Supper:
    Chicken breast, spiced
    1/2 cup cabbage with 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
    1/2 cup cauliflower, raw.

    Is this too much veggies?

    I have had more than 64 ounces of water and two mugs of herbal tea without sugar.

    I am tracking in fitday, it seems to be fine in terms of carbs being less than 20 grams.

    Actually you are probably a bit light on your 2-cup veggies (total 1 cup of lettuce - you can have 2 cups off the 'salad' list) and a bit over on your one-cup veggies (2 x 1/2 = 1 plus the cherry tomatoes)

    Congratulations on drinking herbal teas (instead of coffee) and your water. A rule of thumb for water is the 64 ounces plus another 8 fluid ounces for every 25 pounds you want to lose, so for you another 20 ounces or so would be even better!!

    F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

      I managed about 90 ounces of water for yesterday
