Hello All!!
I am so happy to have found this forum by accident. I’m almost at the end of my rope as I have been on induction for over 3 weeks and fluctuated 2-4 lbs! I went off the diet this weekend out of frustration and binged a bit out of spite ( I know bad) and started again on Tuesday. But I want to make sure that I’m not repeating bad mistakes so thank you in advance for any light that you might shed!
First of all, I want to mention that I’m 5 months post partum and already had my thyroid checked….I’m fine. I just can’t lose any weight. I’ve been working out 5 days a week doing 20-30 minutes of cardio, a 30 minute advanced pilates dvd and weight training. Next week I will be increasing the cardio just in HOPES that I might finally be able to lose some weight! I’ve been juggling the same 4 pounds for 4 months now!
I am about 5’ 2 and a half and the last I checked (Sat. morning) I was about 138lbs. When I first started on July 23 I was 140lbs. I am 28 years old and before I was pregnant I was a size 2.
What I’ve been eating… With the exception of dinner, I eat the same thing everyday and I don’t mind as long as I will lose weight!! Please help. J
Breakfast:
1 cup of coffee with one tsp of Splenda and 2 tbls of heavy cream ( I was using equal for first 2 weeks and then I read about the possibility of stalling weight loss)
Then workout.
2 eggs scrambled with a bit of salt and pepper and about a tablespoon of unsalted butter and some Pam with 2 slices of bacon. (previously used maple flavored bacon...does it matter?)
Lunch:
2 skinless boneless chicken breasts cooked in 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil and seasonings
2 measured loose cups of romaine lettuce
2 tbls of Italian dressing or Caesar dressing
Sprinkles of bacon bits
Snack:
The first 2 weeks I was using the Atkins shakes and Atkins bars until I read those had hidden carbs. (The whole company should be arrested for such deceit!)
So I started the 2 weeks over.
Now I’m having one or 2 pieces of polly-o string cheese. ( I think it said part skim milk and I think that could be a no no??) But the cheese I just started eating this week… so if this is wrong, it can’t be the reason that I didn’t lose the weight the other weeks)
Dinner:
Either seasoned chicken thighs with 2 bouillon (this serves my husband and I ) and a cup of broccoli or cauliflower. or
Seasoned steak with a cup of broccoli or cauliflower. or
Or pork chops….you get the idea I’m sure. Lol
I found an Induction friendly cheesecake recipe last week and had a slice per night last week… but then I thought maybe that might’ve slowed things down. Now I’m just lost.
I also just started to drink 8 8oz glasses of water a day as I was not doing that previously and I just found out that I shouldn’t have eaten any ketchup or hot dogs. (when at my SIL’s bbq)
I did read the book about 2 ½ years ago, but I guess I didn’t digest it enough.
Thanks in advance and I truly appreciate a forum like this! Best of luck to everyone!
