You're really only drinking the minimum amount of water ... how much water is 1/2 your current body weight?

You should really enter your food in the "raw" state as much as possible. The egg is a good example.

What's "milk powder"? And at 13.6 carbs, it can't be Atkins friendly ... that's well over 1/2 your allowed carbs for the day.

        You don't eat much food.

        1200 calories isn't enough.

          Sumi, what's your current weight?

On which rung of OWL are you?

Is the menu you posted a typical menu?

            good job on the veggies
what is the milk powder thing?

is that your planned to eat foods or your eatten foods? if it is your eatten foods did it satisfy your hunger each time you ate? if so then the cal total is fine. if it didn't then you need more foods.

feeding your hunger with legal for your phase foods is what atkins eating is all about.

              Thanks for the feedback everyone,

All the veggies in there are measured in the 'raw'. Only Chicken is.. well chicken, thats the closest I could find.

As regards the calories, 1,200 is fine for me, though I do sometimes feel its a bit more than enough. I am usually stuffed at each meal... and really not hungry for the next meal :O

I was on a 1,200 cal diet in induction in december when I was steadily losing about 1 pound a day sort of. Then had food poisoning, was on vacation, came back was sick again with baaadd flu and its only now I am finally back on Atkins.

When I started Atkins, I was 57kg, then on induction I came down to 52 then after that till today as I was off Atkins, I have been yo-yo ing between 53-54 (put back 1 kg over the non-atkins period of time)

My current weight is 54kg. My Goal is about 45kg.

As regards drinking water, I am drinking as much as I can now.... dont' know about half my body weight... thats 25kg...so how much water is that?

I am having a hard time gulping down 4 x 16oz (500ml each) bottles as it is Thats a total of 64oz everyday. Do I need to up that a bit more?

The milk powder is just instant powder added to water to prepare 1 glass of milk. See link here.
There is really nothing else on Rung 2, thats part of our cuisine or that I know of. We do not eat cheese.... Mozzerella cheese is an exception as we use it to make pizza, though my mom thinks I am nuts eating it as it is.
Then only thing on Rung 2 is youghurt and milk.

Also the reason I started on a short induction was to get me into the Atkins way again, also Induction did give me a lot of motivation...
and then go into OWL. However I feel I am doing something wrong but cant point what it is.

as regards the menu, yes its a typical menu, I interchange vegetables with similar carb count ones for variety, but thats about the whole of it.

Also could someone tell me where I can find the nutrition info for a "whole chicken' weighing 1kg?

What I do is, buy a chicken, cook it with some spices, and then pull the meat off and shred it with my fingers and really mix it up. Then make about 4-5 portions from that whole chicken and freeze it.

At the moment I take a portion a day.
Would like to up or down the portion I am taking depending on the nutrients...

                  It's not allowed on Induction.

That means you should drink at least 64 oz of water. 64 oz is approximately 2 liters.

The milk powder is just instant powder added to water to prepare 1 glass of milk. See link here.
There is really nothing else on Rung 2
Why not drink real milk instead? Milk doesn't need to have lecithin added to it... and dry milk isn't necessarily healthy.

Also, you should add only 5 net carbs worth of a new food at one time.

as regards the menu, yes its a typical menu, I interchange vegetables with similar carb count ones for variety, but thats about the whole of it.
Over half of your net carbs should come from vegetables. That's not happening now.

                      In the USDA database.

                      Search for "chicken, raw".

You can select "chicken, roasting, meat only, raw", for example, and then get the nutritional values for 1000 g.

                        Re: OWL menu review please.

Thanks Georgiana for the Chicken Nutrition info. I googled it, but had no lick at all.
And this is for sure almost accurate

Will go off Milk powder and stick to real milk then.

64Oz, is the amount of water I am having now. 4, 16oz botteles. I will try for 17-18oz... but thats going to be a bit tough though.

Will keep you posted on how it goes after my menu tweaks...

Why is drinking more water going to be tough?

Sumi, are you on OWL or on Induction?
