  • Why is this not working for me???

    Today is my one week since starting Atkins and I have only lost 3 pds, I continue to go up and down a pd. I was lower on Wednesday morning than I was today, I am so upset

    For my meals yesterday

    I had two egg omelet with 1 oz pepper jack cheese and and fried in 1 tbs butter

    Lunch
    I had one egg, three pieces of bacon, 2 cups of lettuce and 4 tbs of ranch dressing

    Snack
    2 deviled eggs

    Dinner
    WAS SO GOOD
    I had chicken that I used two eggs and a half a cup of parmesan cheese (was for 4 people) and fried chicken up in butter and 1 cup of broccoli.

    I am 5ft8 now weighing 189 pds and I am so discouraged I have the books I am reading them and I am doing exactly as they say, and drinking tons of water...helppppppp

    You don't have enough vegetables, for one.

    Instead of just 2 cups of lettuce, have less lettuce and some other Induction vegetable.

    2 cups of lettuce is also not MOST of your daily net carbs from Induction vegetables.

    Not that eggs are a problem but 5 + in one day isn't a lot of variety.

    How much water are you drinking?

      I thought I was only allowed 3 cups of veggies? I am on induction....

      Along with the eggs I have also had bacon and chicken. Do you have any suggestions as to what else could be stalling me?

      I am drinking between 75-100oz of H2O a day

        Is that a typical menu? How many calories are you eating?

        And weight fluctuations are normal. 3 lbs in one week is no reason to be "so upset". I imagine you have about 40 lbs to lose, so 3 lbs is 7.5% of that.

          But you don't need to eat 2 cups of lettuce. You can eat 1/2 cup lettuce, 1 cup peppers, 1/2 cup fennel... and keep your 1 cup of broccoli.

            If you're consistently getting around 1/2 your current body weight in ounces of water, that should be fine.

              Us ladies fluctuate a lot. It is the pits. But well yeah it happens. One thing that helps is not to step on the scale too often.

              Are you exercising? You are not giving quantities there but it looks like not a lot of food to me.

              Do you use fitday?

              I suggest logging your food there and see how it turns out with numbers. Let us know what you find
