    Welcome to the forums, as others have said, come hang out with us in the CC, you'll find a lot of support there.

    I'd like to applaud you for posting those pictures, it's hard. It was really hard for me to do. Even 3+ months in now when I look at my initial pictures I still cringe a little.

But I must say yours doesn't look as awful as mine...I think yours will shrink down ok!

      Girl !! You are my new best friend !! every single one of your posts has made me happy and hopefull. I plan to stop by walmart and get the L-Glutamine.
      And the news about the belly is just super !! BTW i measured it today... 54 inches !!!! I am going to add it to a ticker so i can be happy when it goes down.

          I have been very fat for about 3 years now but it wasnt until i took these pics a few days ago that i realized how incredibly out of shape i was !!! all the pics on this board have really inspired me and i knew i had to post mine too.

            you lost 60 pounds !!! wow i cant wait to see the slider on my ticker go that far right !! LOL. These night shifts are killing me ! all i ever do is sit down and get depressed but today i also gave a 30 day notice to my boss. I have to stop working at night, i have done it for 8 years and all i did was become lethargic and depressed.

              I worked the nightshift before...I only lasted a couple of months though! It was awful....I was definately a zombie! I'm glad you're taking measurements! I'm sure you've seen a lot of people on here say that the scale is sometimes at a stand still even though you're losing inches...its true! Even though I've had a few mess ups...I've lost 2 inches in the waist and hips, and 1.5 off the bust lol. I just wonder how many inches would be gone if I hadn't screwed up lol. But I can't let the slip ups set me down or send me off on a binge...just drink my water, take my l-glutamine and keep on trying. I refuse to give up this time! Its definitely been a battle, but I'm doing better as time goes on....ok I am rambling now lol. Anyways Ashley you are doing awesome!                 Twinkle you can sooooo do this. You are already there in your mind... the fact that you are here and that you shared yourself so bravely with us is a testamony about how badly you want this.
                I worked nights for 12 years and it is where I gained most of my bulk over 220lbs... but that being said... it was not because of the work or what I ate or did not eat on nights... it was because I did not sleep well. I calculated once that I missed on average 8-10 hours of sleep Each and every week. I am certian to this day that it had a huge impact on my metabolism.
                SO I want to suggest making sure that you get active... and to STOP eating 4 hours before you sleep... and eat as soon as you get up to start your day!
                I hope you don't mind all the advice. But if I could talk to the old me who worked nights... I would say it all the same... AND also that McDonalds is OUT OF THE QUESTION... if you truly want health and wellness in your life... but you and everyone here knows that already.... right?

                  Your post made me cry ! I was working all these nights and getting so depressed and fat and moody and just didnt know why. Even if i did mange to get 6 hours of sleep during the day i just never felt energized or fresh enough. Time went by and now 8 years later i so regret not understanding my body any better. IT WAS THE LACK OF SLEEP !!!! I was even depressed for a while, lost all interest in everything and just hated how fat i was but i swear i just did not have the energy to do anything ! i was just always tired.

                  Then during psychology class i realized what was going on and even wrote a paper on the impact of sleeplessness on your body and psyche. If i find it , i will post it here. The less sleep i got the more hungry i was ! I dont know how to explain it but it is true ! Some nights when i was home and i slept properly, the following morning i felt like a new person !!! NOt overly hungry , not moody, enough energy to clean the house, walk the dog, spend some time on myself !
                  And thanks for pointing this out .... my biggest mistake was eating right before going to bed ! BAD idea !!! And i will take your advice and eat as soon as i get up, it does get the body going !

                  Beleive me, as fat as i am ...taking and posting those pics was such a liberating step !!! I know what i look like and i will except it .... and then i will change it. And it is so inspiring to look at all the pics in the before and after section here !! In fact that's how i came across this website, after having found the pics during a google search.

                  I look forward to 'us' getting thinner and healthier and HAPPIER together !!
