Re: 46 pounds and 10 dress sizes
Thank you everyone for you kind words!
I feel so much better but it is odd. I still see myself as big. I buy clothes too big all the time that I have to return and I don't think I will fully enjoy the losses for some time. People really underestimate the effect of losing a large amount of weight. Weight protects from a lot of emotions and serves as a social excuse. As the weight fell off I lost those excuses to hide behind. So making friends, dating, doing my hair and makeup, feeling good about myself, and dealing with my sexuality are all becoming a part of the weight loss process. Without addressing those things the weight will come back so even once I hit goal the process really has only started.
(((hugs))) It's funny you mention that. The bike rides completely different. I have to counter steer harder but maintain traction in turns with bald tires much easier
Honestly, my form is crap because I still can't feel my body in space and time, so I'm going to take a motorcycle course in spring.
The last clothes I bought were 14's but I think I started closer to a large 16. They were all stretched out and tight but I was too embarrassed to buy new clothes when a pair of size 16 jeans were too tight. When I bought new suits for work my Calvin Klein's were a 4's and my Anne Klein suit was a 6. I am a 29 in designer jeans but my waist is too small for them so I have no idea what size I will end up as my thighs just started shrinking. Thank you for the wonderful compliment. I am glad I took pictures because I only really see it in pictures and then I think, "Is that really me?" BTW: exercise is not negotiable, the last time I weighed this much I was a 10 and even with the changes in sizes over the years I ended up several sizes smaller due to exercise for any given weight.
You would be surprised. Slow and steady works for running too
I'm still posting my running videos on YouTube and Runcast.tv but I'm trying to refocus my blog on low carb and the emotional changes that happen when you lose weight. We'll see though since running has literally taken over my life
Thank you everyone for you kind words!
