So you slipped, think about why - then move forward, don't dwell. Don't let the 'little slips' bring you down. When I first started, I had major weekend 'binges', then would start over on Mondays. I don't do that anymore - if I do 'slip', I just mentally slap my hand, think about why it happened and move on - make the next bite healthy! They get fewer and farther apart. You can do it!

            Hi Tom,

We all forget from time to time just how much control we have over our life. If you want to slim and in good shape, you can have it. For some it is harder work, but it's yours if you want it. We've all been there. Just don't give up. If you slip, get back up. This is the only place that I found online that all the people really talk, support & encourage eachother. Good luck on your journey of your NEW YOU. Keep us all posted!!!!

Hi Tom, I am in my second week of induction but I haven't quit smoking. I'm taking one thing at a time, one step at a time. I'm not the type of person that can make that many changes at once!!! I'm impressed you are trying it all at once! If you can't kick the smoking right away, wait until you get set into this way of life for a while, if you can yay you!!!!!

              highest weight 360lbs
              started atkins 315lbs
              current weight 295lbs
              first mini goal 275
              second goal 250

              Induction started Sept 30/09

Going to succeed, one day at a time!!!!!!!

                  Hi Tom,

All the best for the new you!! I am also starting tomorrow. People don't recognise me from two years ago and I really have piled on the pounds (relationship break up as well). I lost my job as an international flight attendant because of my weight issues. I enjoyed reading what you wrote and it has inspired me to also change my life!!!

Hey Tom, listen to TogaGirl, she is probably the all time pin up queen of the before and after pic! lol

Seriously though, TogaGirl and several other before and after pics are what made me initially say "WOW this diet works" some 14 weeks ago and a couple of weeks later I was on the diet.. 11 weeks in I have lost somewhere over 30lbs in weight.. In the early days and even now I use their pics to remind me that even though I still feel fat, i am on my way to looking and feeling right.. and probably living a lot longer!

                    Go for it Tom!
