    the above pic is me at a horrible 350 in Dec 2009
    the new one i took today March 29, 2010 at 275.....75 pounds down and another 50 to go i think...i hope i feel great at 225..i work out alot so i'm hopin i have alot of muscle mass but we will see.....



    i'll have someone take some pics of me this weekend..i still feel weird about gettin my pic taken even tho i'm lookin better...
    Went from a tight 50 jean to a loose 44 now and a 3xl t shirt to a kinda lose xl in this pic heeheh
    thank god for atkins and u guys.

        all atkins..some say im dumb cuz im still on induction but i'm losing 5+ lbs a week and i feel fantastic..so i'll stay on it a month or two more...or until i feel bad.
        I'm off to buy some 42 levis now hehehehehe AGAIN..YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME..I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD LOSE WEIGHT THIS EASILY AND WITHOUT FEELING TERRIBLE.....

          I hope people would not say that your dumb because those pictures tell a story. And the joke is on them in that case

          But us old timers do remind people that they do want to keep the weight off too because we know (some of us from hard earned experience) that we can put weight on amazingly fast too once we jump to what we used to do before Atkins. So it is important to look a head too. But it sounds like you are doing that as well.

            Congratulations!

            I haven't seen anyone say you're "dumb" for staying on Induction.

            However, Dr. Atkins wrote that we should progress through all the phases of Atkins by the time we reach our goal.

            OWL takes way longer than most people think... you need to test each food that you add back... and find your CCLL.

            Pre-Maintenance takes quite some time as well.

                      thanks guys for the congratulations! ....But you are who motivated me so I Thank Everyone here..The posts I read, the pictures I look at..the wealth of information about Atkins is my key to success and I'm grateful for it all.

                          Fantastic accomplishment. Are you sure that's not your dad in the first pic? Even though I've seen it often, I'm always amazed at how weight loss makes a person look so much younger! Of course, I envy your tan in either pic.

                              what the rungs mean to me:
                              rung 1 - more veggies
                              rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                              rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                              rung 4 - berries, melon
                              rung 5 - wine -
                              rung 6 - beans, hummus
                              rung 7 - other fruits
                              rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                              rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                              Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                              (on to pre-maintenance)
