I run evryday, drink water and eat the right way. By the way what is the rule on peanut butter? can we use it on induction? how much if so? thankyou all

By your post, I can tell you haven't read the book. I strongly recommend that you pick Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution and read it cover to cover to learn how to do induction and the rest of the Atkins plan correctly and safely.

If you are doing Atkins the "right way" you shouldn't have gained a pound. If that includes eating peanut butter, than you aren't doing it right! As the previous poster said, you need to get the book and read it. In the meantime, tell us what you're eating and maybe we can help you get a jumpstart on correcting your menu so you can start losing!

Ok, first off. No swearing. My virgin ears can't take it. Secondly. They didn't intend to be rude. This forum is strictly by the book. So everyone that posts here needs to read the book. I promise, this is only for your benefit. Peanut butter is not allowed in induction. Apple Cider vinegar is OK, but I don't think you need it to speed up your metabolism. i use it when I make antipasto salad. Also, becareful drinking ACV, even if it's diluted, because it can damage the enamel on your teeth.

Welcome to the forum, please read the book, and feel free to ask all the questions you wish. We are happy to help, but...

          you must read DANDR.

Best of luck! :hug :hug :hug :hug

Exactly, Its just like "MoochieCat" says, Anytime you start making substitutions and not following the plan correctly, you turn it into, "Your Name's New Diet Revolution".

Take a look around the board and the stickies to learn the true way before you get started. Then ASAP read the book! :nod

barbie_Dali-- sometimes peoipel dont mean to be harsh or rude, its just t hat they did it one way and it worked so they want everyone to do it their way or atkins way as well, if you are doing atkins 'properly' then jsut hang in there and maybe ask your questions again, or if not maybe you can check out the low carb dieting other then atkins forum, its very helpful for those that do low carb but not 100% atkins, good luck, and no- no PB, and i think maybe the ACV pills may be better then the actual drink, as well as maybe greentea pills -Just my opnion

All vinegars with the exception of balsamic are allowed during the Induction phase of ATkins. They do, however, contain carbs and these must be counted towards your daily carb count.

Depending on the carb counter, apple cider vinegar contains 0 to 0.9 carbs per tablespoon. To be on the "safe side" it would be better to err on the side of caution and count 1 tablespoon as 1 net carb.

Also be aware that there is a product called "apple cider flavored vinegar". It's not widely available in grocery stores but it is used in some restaurants and cafeterias (it's less expensive than the real stuff). This "flavored" vinegar contains apple juice and sugars which will increase the carb count.

Hey. I actually haven't read the book... although I probably should.

I simply use this page for Induction: http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-464579.html

You cannot eat anything, ANYTHING that isn't on the list. SO no peanut butter... and when you move on to later phases, natural peanut butter would be the best.

I noticed you don't have a lot to lose and probably look pretty healthy anyway. I have the same problem and am just letting you know it is a little difficult to lose the weight... actually really difficult. I recommend you stay on Induction instead of eventually moving on.

Actually in order to learn how to maintain you NEED to move through the rungs of OWL. Please please please read the book raisin.

For those with smaller amounts to lose the very best thing to do is to move from the 2 week induction straight to OWL.
