Hey Mike
Congrats on your loss! My suggestions? First 2 cups of mushrooms? Fungus veggies and some dairy products can perpetuate yeast. You may want to do a candida search and cut out all fungus/aged foods as this can hinder your loss. To test for candida, first thing in the a.m before anything goes in your mouth, spit in a glass of water. If in a few moments the spit has tentacles, you could very well have candida. You can do a diet for this purpose and it refers to the above advice. A few tablespoons of pure apple cider vinegar w/the mother (I recommend Braggs) will also help.
Cut out any lunch meats that are processed, ham included.
At your weight remember the old saying "fat burns fat" so if you up your fat content, ie: butter, mayo and eat just non processed meats and ofcourse your 3cups of veggies a day (no mushrooms or starch)
you will probably see a loss.
And of course I would be remiss if I didn't tell you to drink your water (you need 1/2 your body weight in oz. per day and exercise)Make it a happy low carb life!

Mike this is only my opinion based on my personal experience. I have found that I probably ate a lot more than you did in induction. I ate a lot of high fat content food, now I’m not saying this will work for you but if I was hungry I ate. Check your Mayo carefully, some may contain sugar and be quite high in carbs. I made my own from 2 eggs blended with a little mustard powder, salt & pepper blended at high speed, then drizzle in olive oil until it reaches the right consistency. You can add garlic or other items to your personal taste.
Sausage defiantly a no go as far I as was concerned. They probably contain cereal as a binding agent. Almost defiantly have a carb value!
Ham watch this if you have purchased ready cooked. By all means boil or roast your own.
More Fat in the form of olive oil, cream and butter. My typical vegetables were Mushrooms, Brocolli , a slice of onion & maybe a chilli stir fried with salt & lots of ground pepper. Then add a knob of butter together with 1-2 Tbs of extra thick double cream.
I was never a great salad lover but with a generous amount of olive oil and red wine or cider vinegar makes it quite yummy. Watch the carb count of the vinegar you use. For example balsamic vinegar is quite high in carbs.
Try a get a little carb and fat into your breakfast. I believe this kick starts the day. Maybe 2 mushrooms or a slice of easy flax bread with butter. A couple of slices of bacon.
You must read other people recipe suggestions for a good variety of meals. I personally am not that keen on eggs although I do eat them. Some days I ate a couple of steaks and 6 lamb chops complete with fat. I often snacked on streaky pork rashers during the day & evening.
My interpretation is that fat is going to be your energy source. Keep with in reasonable quantities balanced with protein and carbs.
If you aren’t getting into ketosis then something with your diet is wrong! Good luck Mike, keep us all posted!!!Male 47yrs 5' 10"

I totally agree with your comment regarding exercise but surely the important question that needs to be answered is if he is in ketosis or not. Resistance to weight loss is resistance to ketosis. He either has a high metabolical resistance or the more likely reason is that he is eating more carbs than his body can use. If he follows a completely clean induction, ketosis should follow within 3-4 days. For me personally I can get into ketosis if I follow the clean induction in 3 days without exercise.Male 47yrs 5' 10"
