  • subway carbs??

We went to town shopping today. It lasted longer than it was supposed to and everyone ended up hungry so we went to a food court. I am doing induction. I opted for a Subway Tuna salad after seeing the carb count was (12-4)8g carb. Now can anyone tell me is that just for the approx 2 cups of lettuce and 2 scoops of tuna? Do I add extra for the finger full of cheese(no idea how much), 2 slices of tomato, 1 oz cucumber and 2 squirts dressing??? How do I count this and put it into fitday?

Tuna salad? There could very well be sugar in it, especially if it's at Subway. And what kind of dressing did you add to it? Add a carb for the cheese (it's probably processed) and add 2 carbs for the dressing. The tomato and the rest of the veggies are fairly negligible.

Subway doesn't put sugar in their tuna. Thank God. I had two scoops from Subway for dinner last night. I THINK, but am not positive, that the carbs includes lettuce and tomato, but not the cheese.

So, if someone at Subway cuts the cheese, add carbs!

I'm glad to know they aren't adding sugar to their tuna salad. When I hear tuna salad I have flashbacks to sugary concoctions in the school lunch line a long time ago.

Yeah, me too. Plus that awful, awful relish. however, my daughter's friend works at subway and all they do is mix mayo (and it's got no sugar, she checked for me!) and tunafish from big cans.

Thier site is a little confusing. And I am not sure exactly how they are counting. Because you can add your own stuff. So is the count just for the 2 scoops of tuna and the lettuce? Or did they base it on if someone added other stuff in it like tomatoes, etc. Will have to email them or ask or something.

Good idea Elsie - maybe report back their reply here as I am sure others are just as confused and would like to know the answer for the future.

Sure...and if you get to it before me please do the same. This was the first time I ate at subway in YEARS! Not planning on doing it often.

I don't know how many carbs the tuna salad has in it, but I eat it at least twice a week. Subway has the best salad around...affordable too.
