I read Laurens first message and then Cleo's message about the phone number and I had phone call on the brain so that's where I was coming from.

Again though, if she's having troubles (and if it were your daughter, sister, friend) wouldn't you want her calling someone they knew was on the up and up rather than ask for help from strangers on the internet?
(and again, nothing against the fine folks at ADBB!)
We've had troubles on this board in the past of trolls preying on vulnerable unsuspecting folks...I don't care to see that happen again.

I'm posting this not necessarily to those who have posted {{{you guys}}}, but to the many who are reading and probably are confused by this thread and the seemingly surprising action taken. {{{you guys}}}

It's important that everyone understands that the moderators and the administrators here at ADBB act in the best interest of ADBB and its members at all times.

What might appear to be cruel, heartless or a brush-off is surprisingly the opposite.

Please understand this, and know that we are working very hard for each and every one of you to make your experience at ADBB a pleasant experience and a success.

Sometimes there is a history most people don't know about because you might be new, or because one may not have seen what takes place behind the scenes with some of our members. Or because it is incredibly long and confusticating, and one would have to seek every post to see a pattern.

Please trust us and understand that while we are soft and people and tough on ideas, sometimes it takes being tough on people who send up red flags and who should seek the proper medical attention they will not be able to receive at this board.

You have questions, and that is understandable. But please know there is no harm intended in this thread, but hope for the well-being of a person with a history at ADBB that is difficult to understand from reading this thread alone.

Thank you all for your attempts/kind words and pm's to assist Lauren on her weight loss journey.

As an administrator of this board I feel at this time we need to make a decision based on the good of the board. We have tried many times to help Lauren and everytime we have failed. There are many types of people on the internet. Many are misguided and unfortunately those of us with big hearts open our hearts to them. We feel that Lauren has misused and abused the moderators and the membership here at ADBB.

There are too many wonderful people here that are being taken advantage of. Please trust our judgement here and please continue to help people who truly need and will take advantage of your wisdom and kindness.
