what I gathered from all this is either I need an egg cooker.. OR... I think I'm just not COOKING them long enough....
I didn't want them to get 'rubbery'.. and have that dark grey/green stuff on the yolk.... so where did I get the idea that 3 minutes was long enough to boil them anyway..
this morning... I put them in a pot.. (also used a bigger pot with more water.)..brought them to a boil... turned them on low heat while I showered ...
out of shower... turned them back up to full boil for a minute... then did the cold water/while peeling them..... and every single ONE was perfect!
so.. today I have eggs! (I trash the yolks except for one.... chop 6 eggs... only one with a yolk... salt, pepper, mayo.. and that's my 'egg salad'..
