Re: Being bad never tasted so good

Lazy Taco salad for me. Romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomotoes 1 T salad dressing and 1 prefab hamburger (cooked until done but not dried out) sprinkled with ceyanne pepper and cut up and added to the salad.

Thanks everyone. Last night I got drunk that's what an open bar will do to you! I'm starting Atkins again today. I will be doing a 2 week induction followed by 1 rung per week. I'd like to get back to "normal" foods asap this time instead of long extended induction.

I'd also like to exercize, but I'm going to take this 1 step at a time.

and also think really hard about what 'normal' foods are too.... when I look at the average 'normal American' and see the 'normal foods' they eat, I want no part of it.

I agree with you Allie. When I say normal I mean pasta, bread, potatos, and fruits in addition to the staple foods (meats, veggies)

While I was being bad I ate about 5 kiwis. Probably the best thing I ate while being bad - both in taste and for my health.

pasta and white potatoes aren't a good thing to eat, if you're talking nutritional bang for your buck! You'd be better off having spaghetti squash and yams as you progress up the ladder! You'll see as you go. Good luck! You can do this! Don't worry-- a few weeks in and you'll not even the junk!

Re: Being bad never tasted so good

The 'normal American fare' pasta bread and potatoes is part of the reason we are an obese country (aside from the high fructose corn syrup etc etc). We love our starch and our sugar and it's the 'norm'. I could go on and on about 'eating normal'.. which results in 'looking normal'.. which 'looking normal' here in the US is just sad... no thanks.

I truly had to readjust what my mental image of 'normal food' is. I think 95% of the game is mental.

                      I second allie.

Last night I'll admit I ate a lot of things I ought not have.

Today I woke up, poured myself a bottle of water, scrambled my eggs, and I'm back on plan.

                      No excuses.
