    What has been your biggest compliment since starting Atkins

    Mine would have to be my husbands old work buddies. He hadn't seen them for some time. We met up with them to help them with a project. They had always known me as a pretty big girl. While there his buddies had asked him what happened to his wife. Did we separate. Who was this person with him. When he told them I was his wife and that I had lost 120 lbs they where amazed. They said to me WOW you look great. You are shrinking.

    Till that point I hadn't realized just how much different I looked.

    Cleo called me a "Hottie".

    Me? A middle aged clergyman?

    "Hottie" is what my dear wife calls a hot water bottle - she is from Cyprus and doesn't like the cold, so its not unknown for her to take off to bed with a "Hottie" wearing my long green army socks (the ones I wear with my boots)

    But I did say "middle aged".

    But then again, the Senior Medical Officer who said to me "Do Atkins, it works." saw me in the corridor the other day - 60+ pounds lighter - I don't think he said anything - just looked me up and down and grinned.

      Having acquaintances or restaurant servers who have seen my card ask me if I can help them - it is the ultimate reward for me. I just ask them to "pay it forward" someday!

          I've only been on for 24 days, so the results aren't really noticeable to anyone else yet. However, my hubby did say that now I have a 'glow' that I didn't have before.
          27 F 5' 7"
          Before baby: HW:230/195 after 6 months on Atkins

              today I went to see the doctor with my DH to find out about his blood test results and the doctor asked me if I waould be willing to advise some of his other patients on how to do Atkins!!
              Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                  The fact that everyone thinks I am a hotty now surprises me, as I cant really see it myself.

                              Well... 3 things... all this week...

                              1 from this board:

                              - the thread i just made in this forum trying to give some motivation to anyone willing to read it... started getting complimets from everywhere all of a sudden... really made me feel nice.... awkward, but nice.

                              1 from work:

                              - young gal i work with that i havent seen in a while walks in a says "well look at you mr. skinny!!! wow you are looking good!"...all in front of a room full of people

                              1 from ym best friend:

                              - we met up at happy hour for a few to celebrate his promotion and he says "damn you are getting thin dude!" .... for a guy to actually say this to another guy take an act of god... or a few shots of jim beam... or both.
