Re: Protein: too much?
I wouldn't say they are that bad on the joints cause you use you tip toes and spring using feet and calf muscles where jogging you land on your heels. Jump rope is the same catagory. We might say that they are hard on the untrained ankle area.
There are tons of scientific studies on fat burning but I gotta tell ya...ever see a body building competition (a drug free one)? Your looking at 3% body fat to win THAT day and I will confess to the exercises involved...jump rope, jumping jacks, aerobics and a Gazelle and they all do it in short bursts throughout a 10 hr period from the time they get up. They do this to keep their heart rates up for long periods at a time. I never knew one to jog. I was a fantastic street skater and one of the first to a 'blades expert' when they first came out. Roller blades with harder compound tires and ABEC 5 bearings are real fast and coast the best especially with aluminum trucks (frames). It is known that 'blading' has the most amount of cardiovascular impact with the least amount of resistance! I have skated over 30 miles in one day back in the day and drove away! figure that out. I can still skate quite the distance if I choose. Jumping cars was fun but those days are gone I bet LOL...shoot never know at 190 when I get there again I may giver' a shot. LOL
