  • My heart nearly stopped!

My heart nearly stopped! No, not because of the excercise, but because of the scales. I cyled fairly hard this morning for 1 hr 40 min. Before my shower I jumped on the scales - 13 stone 12 lb (194 lb) - now this morning on getting up I was 14 stone 4 lb (200 lb). Could I really have lost 6lb on that ride?

'Fraid not. I jumped on the digital scales again 14 stone 5 lb (201 lb). That I believed.

I have been consistently been seing 14:4 (200lb) for a couple of weeks, but I will have to wait a few more months to get to 13:12 (194lb)

    But interestingly

    http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm

suggests my ideal weight is about that - 13:10 (192 lb)

    One day!

(Thread Title changed to be less shocking.)

Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
    he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Betty, but as I have said before, I can see what is below the waistband of those large shorts, and your not going to. Abdomen still not as flat as it should be.

Brian, you scared me. Don't do that!

I see you got Betty going too.

{{{Brain}}} You are such a role model for all of us, and as I look to Betty as my running goddess, so too do I look to you as my biking guy!

whew I was worried there too!!!!!! Those teaser titles need to be cointrolled admins.

Yep I'm with Betty on the ball replace your chair with one and you can do crunches all day long when nobody is in geting counseled. Just make sure you buy the right ball for your height. I have 3 and am using one right now. Brook used to keep one leg up off the ground while she was on linew on her ball but balance is key for that.

Have a great time preforming your wedding.

Hang in there, Brian. Even though it's not a race to goal, you will arrive -- and come out a winner!

Congrats on the wedding thing. Don't feel bad. Some of my first students are now grandparents. Now THAT makes you feel old!

That stones and pounds thing is so confusing for us Yanks. I don't know how we lost the stones term, to begin with, but I think I'm glad we did. Counting in straight pounds seems much easier (even though the rest of the world is using kelos!).
