    The last time I was on Atkins, I didn't even know such products existed until I had reached my goal weight. When I discovered them, I thought, YIPPIE!!!!! I can have "real" candy again. I started out slow and didn't see any negative impact, however, one piece a day slowly turned into a bag a day and the next thing I knew I was back to my old way of eating and had gained back the weight. From now on, I will treat them as a recovering alcoholic treats booze......not one drop. But that's just me.

          yep I think we should all thank the FDA that they stood up to the pressure the low carb food makers Atkins included were exercting in 2000 to allow them to list SAs, hydrogenates starches, and glycerine as fibers on the food label. MAgical mythical noncounting count carbs are not our friends. SAs in their natural form in the fruits veggies and meats we eat are just fine in the very small amount but when you start swallowing them by the 20-30 grams in the low carb frankenfoods you will discover why another low carb board called them CYP (c r a p your pants) foods.
