  • 4 Year Atkinsversary!

Today, January 19, 2006 marks my 4th year following the Atkins way of life. I feel better than ever (despite the critics who say this isn't a healthy lifestyle!) Shouldn't I be dead by now?

    1. Cholesterol is lower than ever before. My ratio is a whopping 1.12.
    2. Blood pressure is 100/70. Consistently.
    3. Acid reflux is HISTORY!
    4. No more chronic IBS!
    5. Body fat is 16%.
    6. Current weight is 5 pounds below my initial goal.
    7. Currently running upwards of 40 miles every week.
    8. Training for my first full marathon February 26, 2006.

Yes, Virginia, there is a darned great life with Atkins!

I'd like to echo Ladyinred's words. You long ago reached goal and have maintenance down pat. The only reason you're still with us at ADBB is to help the rest of us along, and serve as the great role model that you are.

Congratulations on her fourth year to a fantastic lady!
